Centre approves Rs 20.78 crore for road construction in J
New Delhi, Mar 31 (UNI) The Centre has approved an amount of Rs 20.78 crore under the Central Road Fund (CRF) Scheme for construction of a 16-km-long road from Kahara Jai Road up to Jaurn village in Doda district in Jammu and Kashmir.
This was announced by Shipping, Road Transport and Highways Minister T R Baalu here today.
Mr Baalu said the amount hadd been approved on the recommendation of Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad.
The proposed road will connect Kahara village in Bhalessa area with Jai in Bhaderwah passing through the villages of Gugara, Malanu, Bithola, Bagdair, Halaran, Jooda and Shamdalian before entering the picturesque meadows of Jai in Bhaderwah.
''The road will open up avenues of development for people of all these villages,'' a ministry official said.
