Railway Ministry directs 24-hour operation at major goods-sheds

Kannur, Mar 26 (UNI) The Railway Ministry has directed zonal railways to introduce 24-hour functioning of major goods-sheds, which deal with more than ten rakes per month, a Southern Railway release said here today.

In compliance with the Ministry's directive the sheds in Kallayi, Valapattanam, West Hill, Coimbatore North, Salem junction, Salem market, Tirupur and Pilamedu would commence round-the-clock operations from April 1, it added.
