Heavy rains likely in coastal Karnataka, Nicobar

Pune, Mar 26 (UNI) Rain or snow are likely to occur at many places in Jammu and Kashmir, at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and at isolated places in Uttarakhand.

Heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in coastal Karnataka and Nicobar.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka and at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Punjab, Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Andaman and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and east Madhya Pradesh.

Day temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in Uttarakhand, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan and in some parts of east Rajasthan. They were above normal in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, west Madhya Pradesh and interior Saurashtra and Kutch.

Day temperatures were appreciably to markedly below normal in Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, coastal Orissa, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, interior Karnataka and in some parts of Gangetic West Bengal. They were below normal in interior Orissa, coastal Saurashtra and coastal Karnataka. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Night temperatures were appreciably to markedly below normal in south Madhya Maharashtra and in some parts of north interior Karnataka. They were appreciably to markedly above normal in Manipur, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, north Chattisgarh, and in some parts of Haryana, Saurashtra, Kutch, and north Madhya Maharashtra. They were above normal in Uttar Pradesh, west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, south Chattisgarh, Telangana, north Tamil Nadu and in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Orissa, Punjab and coastal Andhra Pradesh. They were normal over the rest of the country.
