Lokayukta police arrests 2 for accepting bribe of Rs 1.05 lakh
Bangalore, Mar 24 (UNI) The Lokayukta police today arrested MD and Manager of Tumkur District Supply and Marketing Co-Operative Society for accepting bribe of Rs 1.05 lakh from a furniture dealer.
According to a Lokayukta release the two officials K Theerthappa and Nagalakshmi had demanded Rs 1.2 lakh for releasing a payment of Rs 5.71 lakh, worth furniture supplied by the dealer for different schools in the district.
Meanwhile, the dealer had complained to Lokayukta.
On laying a trap, the police arrested both the officials red- handed.
