PMC condems milk price hike, demands rollback
Puducherry, Mar 22 (UNI) Strongly condemning the milk price hike in the Union Territory, Puducherry Munnetra Congress spokesman K Lakshminarayanan, MLA, today said the party would organise an agitation here on March 24.
Addressing a press conference here, he said the milk price hike would badly hit the common people here. Therefore to press the government to rollback the price, the party would take out a procession from the Venkatasubbareddiyar statue to the Head Post office where a demonstration would be held.
He said the agitation was also to press the government to contain steep price rise of essential commodities, provision of employment opportunities to all, red colour ration cards to the eligible, maintain law and order and implementation of Goondas Act, among other things.
