Festival of colours celebrated in MP
Bhopal, Mar 22 (UNI) Holi, the festival of colours, was celebrated with gaiety and enthusiasm across Madhya Pradesh including the state capital today.
Adequate security arrangements were put in place in view of Holi, Eid-e-Miladunnabi and Good Friday being observed almost simultaneously.
People, including women and children, were seen sprinkling coloured water and throwing colour powder at each other marking the Holi revelry. They also exchanged greetings on the occasion.
In Indore, most people faced water shortage with main pipe line being damaged. Holi was celebrated in traditional manner in Gwalior, Jabalpur, Ujjain, Sagar and Rewa divisions.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Vidhan Sabha Speaker Ishwardas Rohani, his deputy Hazarilal Raghuvanshi, other cabinet members and leaders of various political parties extended their greetings on the occasion.
