7925 Income Generating Units for Ganderbal in J

Srinagar, Mar 19 (UNI) An amount of Rs 205 crore has been sanctioned in favour of unemployed youths for setting up 7925 income generating units under Credit Action Plan for this fiscal in newly created Ganderbal district of the Kashmir valley.

This information was given in a joint meeting of district officers and representatives of various financial institutions, presided over by the District Development Commissioner of the district, Gulam Nabi Bodha, an official spokesman said today.

He said under priority sector 3588 units are being set up for which credit to the tune of Rs 93.62 lakh stands sanctioned. While under non-priority sector, Rs 100 crore are being paid as loan for establishment of 2500 income generating units.

He said Rs 11.70 crore are being provided for setting up of 1082 units in the district to boost the agriculture sector.

Reviewing the targets achieved during last fiscal in the district, it was informed that Rs 42.51 crore were provided as loan for establishment of 3978 units.
