Rajnath urges PM to take Sarabjeet's case with Pak President

Jind, Haryana, Mar 16 (UNI) BJP President Rajnath Singh today urged Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to take up the case of Indian death row prisoner Sarabjit Singh, whose clemency petition has been refused by Pakistan's President.

Addressing a party rally at Jind, Mr Singh made a special appeal to the Prime Minister to take up the issue with Pakistan President and convince him to grant clemency to the condemned Indian prisoner, ''who had been convicted on the basis of wrong identity and had no hand in the subversions as alleged by the prosecution.''
