Digital cinema in India comes of age:over 1000 theatres for UFO
New Delhi, Mar 16 (UNI) It has revolutionised business of entertainment in India with its use of the innovative digital cinema technology for distribution of movies in the country.
From being the first mover in digital space in India two years ago, UFO Moviez has now successfully completed installation of more than 1000 cinemas across the country screening latest Bollywood and Hollywood blockbusters through digital mode.
Within a short span of two years, UFO Moviez, the leaders in digital cinema technology in India, have released over 600 movies in 17 languages.
Further, it has also completed successful installations in 21 screens across Nepal, Sri Lanka and Mauritius within a span of two months.
Expressing pride over UFO Moviez reaching this unique milestone, the CEO of the company Rajesh Misra said,''when we started the project of digitisation, we had nothing but complete faith in our endeavour and the next demand for the entertainment industry in India.

This is just the beginning of the revolution to come.'' Ever since its launch, UFO Moviez has been able to change the way the entertainment industry was always looked upon. Bringing a 360 degree change in the business spectrum, in the year 2007 alone UFO technology helped theatre owners and producers save a huge amount of money on the print cost.
The advent of digital technology is playing a pivotal role in Bollywood's boom with operators like UFO Moviez bringing delivery of films straight to the theatre via digital satellite delivery.
The advanced technology that UFO Moviez brings with it is helping the film industry in all the speheres including film production, film exhibition and marketing.
UFO Moviez is now making its mark in Hollywood with its first release being 'Rambo IV' in breakthrough 98 theatres.
Digital cinema heralds a new era for the cinema industry.
According to a PriceWater Cooper report, the Indian film entertainment industry is poised to grow from the present size of Rs 9600 crore to Rs 17500 crore by 2011, implying a 16 per cent cumulative annual growth over the next five years.
