High-ranking PF official in CBI net for taking bribe
Tiruchirapalli, Mar 11 (UNI) A high-ranking official of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) office here was caught red-handed this evening by a CBI team while accepting a bribe of Rs four lakh from a businessman.
CBI sources here said EPF Assistant Commissioner Pandiyan demanded Rs four lakh from Mr Suresh Kumar for showing him official favour with regard to provident fund payment for his employees.
Following a complaint, a CBI team laid a trap and caught Pandiyan red-handed. The amount was seized along with incriminating documents.
