ATIA urges AP to promote sea travel on east coast
Visakhapatnam, Mar 11 (UNI) Air Travellers Association of India (AITA) President D Varada Reddy today said he had urged Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister A Ramanarayana Reddy to promote sea travel along the east coast.
In a letter to the Minister, he asked the state government to take up the issue with the Union Shipping Ministry for sanction of passenger ship services from Visakhapatnam to Port Blair via Kakinada, Chennai, Puducherry and Kanniyakumari.
He said a study undertaken by the Association last year revealed that there was a great scope and prospect for the development of tourism along the east coast.
