Security officials' meeting to check trans border crimes

Jodhpur, Mar 8 (UNI) High officials of various security agencies met here to discuss measures to maintain high alert along border in the wake of reports of misuse of Thar Express by miscreants for smuggling and sale and purchase of land in border areas.

The officials at the meeting yesterday exchanged vital information about trans border crimes. They discussed the issue of smuggling of fake currency from Pakistan by Thar Express. The issue of access of Pakistani mobile companies' signals in border areas also figured at the meeting.

A team of BSNL experts also began survey to detect Pakistani companies' signals and suggest preventive measures for jamming of the signals.

To take guard against smuggling of fake currency on the Jodhpur-Karachi Thar Express, installation of more X-Ray machines, metal detectors was suggested for better search and checking of passengers and luggages.
