India to hold FIDI Annual Conference for the first time
New Delhi, Mar 7 (UNI) Belgium based FIDI Global Alliance (FIDI), the largest global alliance of independent quality international removal companies' associations today announced that for the first time ever, India, will play host to its annual Congress from March 9-13, 2008.
The Congress, to be held in the Capital, will see participation of over 500 national and international delegates from names of repute in professional transportation and logistics industry engaged in international relocation and removals business.
''The FIDI conference in New Delhi, India will be a landmark event. Not only will FIDI launch its first all-new service DSP program but will also conduct a future-strategy program for the benefit of participating delegates and the industry at large,'' said FIDI Global Alliance, President, Eric Lim.
This annual Congress, with central theme 'Think Global, Be Local' gives its affiliates the opportunity to network and interact with each other and share their business experiences across different markets globally, a statement said.
The participants will be at the core of defining some of the key issues to be addressed in the next decade for the industry, he added.
The main subject of the conference will be the unveiling of the trade association's new Global DSP Accreditation Programme, that will create the first global quality standard for international destination service providers, thereby creating a common baseline for measuring the performance of such services on a global scale.
Noted industry leaders such as Cris Collie (Worldwide ERC), Jim Thompson (Crown Relocations) and Dr Santrupt Misra (Aditya Birla Group) will address the audience at the Congress as key speakers.
Besides this, a formal announcement regarding the appointment of newly elected President of the FIDI Global Alliance shall also be made during the Congress.
The FIDI Congress India 2008 will attract participants from various companies from across the globe, it added.
