Puducherry, Mar 7(UNI) The Joint Action Committee(JAC) of Fishermen's Associations today urged the intervention of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to press the territorial administration to construct houses for tsunami affected fishermen in Puducherry and Karaikal regions of the Union Territory.

JAC president M Illango in a statement here, said he along with 20 representatives of fishermen organisations called on Dr Singh and the Home Minister Shivraj Patil with a complaint that even after three years of calamity, the administration did not construct a house for tsunami victims and only voluntary organisations have agreed to construct houses.
