CBI asked to produce kidney racket accused in court on Mar 20

Ambala, Mar 7 (UNI) Taking serious notice on CBI's failure to produce the three accused in the court for the kidney case on production warrant from Tihar jail, Delhi, Special CBI Magistrate R N Bharati asked the investigative agency to present the trio in the court on March 20.

Mr Bharati asked the CBI to produce Dr Suraj, Gayasuddin and Jagdish, all accomplices of kidney kingpin Amit Kumar, in the court on March 20 along with other accused Dr Amit, Dr Manoj and K K Aggarwal.

The court also accepted the applications of Dr Amit and Dr Upinder to grant them exemption from appearance since they were being tried in other courts in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh and fixed March 20 as the next date of hearing.

The special CBI court fixed March 10 for hearing of the bail application of Pooja, wife of Dr Jiwan. She was lodged in jail under judicial custody.
