Congress will take care of people who rejoined party:Kidwai

Kochi, Mar 6 (UNI) All India Congress Committee(AICC) General Secretary Mohsina Kidwai today said the Congress party would look after the interests of those, who had rejoined its fold.

Speaking to newspersons after a lunch-on meeting with senior leader K Karunakaran here, Ms Kidwai said '' we are there to look after the the interests of the people, who have returned to the party''.

When asked about her discussions with Mr Karunakaran, Ms Kidwai said '' we discussed certain issues but it cannot be disclosed now''.

Hailing Mr Karunakaran, she said the senior leader was a ''father figure'' and his advice was invaluable.

Ms Kidwai was here to attend the State Conference of Mahila Congress.
