Police constable killed in road mishap
Davanagere, Mar 4 (UNI) In a gruesome incident a police constable was killed when a speedy truck ran over him near Jagalur on the Bangalore-Pune National Highway about 70 km from here in the early hours today.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Linga Reddy told UNI that the mishap occurred when the victim Kallender (40) was on highway patrolling.
The truck driver arrested by Jagalur police and senior police officials visited the spot he added.
