HUDA to float new sectors in Haryana towns
Chandigarh, Mar 2 (UNI) The Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) will float new sectors at Jhajjar, Jind, Hisar, Sirsa, Kaithal, Rohtak, Rewari, Sonepat, Fatehabad, Guhla-Cheeka, Karnal and Pataudi etc with a view to extending residential facilities to the people of the state.
Giving this information here today, an official spokesman said that the allotment of land for the Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme at concessional rates for the benefit of ex-servicemen had been made by HUDA for the first time at Faridabad, Rewari, Jind, Narnaul, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Karnal, Sonepat, Rohtak, Panipat and Jhajjar.
He said that in order to provide adequate infrastructure, 10 sites for hospitals and 23 sites for petrol pumps had been floated during the period of the present government in addition to 169 institutional sites. Similarly 14,141 freehold residential plots of all sizes, 2069 plots for EWS and 321 plots 0.5 acre category for Group Housing have been floated, he added.
He informed that as many as 90 Industrial Plots available at Rojka-Meo, Hathin, Bahadurgarh, Bhiwani and Hisar had also been advertised for allotment.
He said that under its new projects an Ashiana Scheme would be undertaken at Faridabad, Rohtak, Bahadurgarh, Kaithal, Sirsa, Ambala and Gurgaon.
Similarly, other new projects included construction of Rail Under Bridge (RUB) at Railway Crossing on Chandigarh-Kalka Railway Line in Panchkula, construction of RUB at Rohtak on Delhi-Bhatinda railway line, construction of two HL Bridges on BSB and JLN Canal at Rohtak, construction of sewerage treatment plan (PH-II) at Rohtak, construction of 15 MLD sewerage treatment plant at Kurukshetra, construction of 10 MLD sewerage treatment plan at Hisar, construction of multiplex hall at Gurgaon, remodeling of Badshahpur drain in Gurgaon and construction of 15 MLD sewerage treatment plant at Panchkula.
The spokesman said that during the financial year 2007-08, there was a provision for construction of 11 Primary Schools, 3 Secondary Schools, 10 Police Posts, 10 Police Stations, 4 dispensaries and 25 Community Centres.
The spokesmand disclosed that for providing better infrastructure and other community facilities to its allotees, HUDA had spent Rs 1263.62 crore upto December 2007 on development of new areas, maintenance of existing areas, special repairs of roads, construction of community buildings and development of government land scheme.He said that possession of 22,352 plots had been offered to the allottees and possession of 6708 plots would be offered in various urban estates to the allottees during the current financial year.
