AP FM against simultaneous polls if LS elections in 2008
Hyderabad, Mar 1 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister K Rosaiah today opined that the state government should not agree for simultaneous elections if the Centre decides to go for Lok Sabha elections in 2008 itself.
Asked whether the Congress-led UPA Government has decided to go for early polls, he told reporters here that the State could go for simultaneous elections in case the general elections were held in February or March in 2009.
''I am not an astrologer to give any prediction,'' he said, evading a direct reply to a question whether early general elections were likely. He did not have any indication to suggest that polls were imminent or otherwise, he added.
