2 CRPF men killed in militant ambush in Kashmir
Srinagar, Feb 27 (UNI) Two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were killed in a militant ambush in south Kashmir district of Pulwama this afternooon.
A CRPF spokesman told UNI that a Road Opening Party (ROP) of 182 batallion (F-company) was moving when militants opened fire near village Chak Mohra, 11 km from Pulwama, this afternoon.
He said head constable Rafiq Ahmad, a resident of Poonch and constable Manoj Kumar, a resident of Haryana were killed.
Reinforcement was immediately rushed to the area which was cordoned off from all sides.
Later house-to-house searches were conducted but the militants managed to escpae.
