1.5 lakh farmers ended lives over past eight years: Uddhav
Mumbai, Feb 26 (UNI) Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray today alleged that 1.5 lakh farmers had committed suicide in Maharashtra over the past eight years and wondered why the government was not considering ''complete loan waiver'' for the farmers.
Participating in the party's programme ''farmers hunter'', Mr Thackeray said he does not want to politicise the issue of suicides but wanted to know as to what the state government, in power for the last eight years, had done for them The agitational programme was organised at Shivaji Park, Dadar.
