Over 500 children take part in painting contest in Rose Fest
Chandigarh, Feb 24 (UNI) Over 500 children participated in the on the Spot Painting competition, organized as part of the Rose Festival.
The competition was formally inaugurated by UT Finance Secretary, Mr Sanjay Kumar.
On the occasion, Mr Kumar took a round of the arena where the competition took place and interacted with the children participating in it. He also encouraged the children participating in the competition and said these children had brilliant creative skills.
In group A, Divya Sharma bagged the first prize, Deviyaan Sen received the second prize, Hardik Mittal was given third prize while Chankrit Kaur got a consolation prize.
In Group B, Shahrukh, Ankita Sharma, Akanksha Sharma and Arshdeep Singh Sachdeva received the first, second, third and consolation prizes respectively. While in Group C, the first position was taken by Akanksha Sharma followed by Priyanka and Ritika Saahi who stood third while Rahul Aggarwal received the cosolation prize in the category.
In the Group D category, Arshpreet Singh stood first, Pawan Kumar second, Sahil Aggarwal third while the consolation prize went to Shanti Swaroop.
