Over 9 lakh students to appear for new syllabus in HSC
Pune, Feb 22 (UNI) Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) today said over nine lakh students of the total 11.39 lakh registered students will appear for the new syllabus during the examination, scheduled to commence from February 28.
According to a release by MSBSHSE here, 9,61,926 students will appear for the new syllabus during the exmination, which will be conducted at 5,271 junior colleges.
As per the new syllabus, the Japanese language has been introduced and all the language papers will contain 80 marks for written and 20 marks for oral examination. Similarly, 'Child development' will contain 20 marks for practicals and 80 for written test.
A paper on 'Environment education' has been made compulsory for the all the junior colleges and marks will be awarded as per grade system, the release said, adding, Information technology (IT) exam will be conducted online as per every year.
