Jatin Das appointed Professor Emeritus at Jamia

New Delhi, Feb 20 (UNI) The Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) University has appointed renowned painter Jatin Das as Professor Emeritus.

Das has been appointed in the Faculty of Fine Arts, a University spokesperson said.

Das has taught painting and art history at the University from 1977 to 1988 in the Department.

Jamia had earlier honoured two eminent artists-- Paramjeet Singh and Ramachandran Nair-- as Professor Emeritus and both have taught at the Department of Fine Arts.
