5 new-born kids deprived of parental rights every day in Moscow
Moscow, Feb 19 (UNI) On an average, five new-born children are deprived of their parental rights every day in Moscow, the head of the city's department for family and youth policies said today.
''Every day, 405 children are born in Moscow. At the same time, parents of five of these children are deprived of their parental rights,'' RIA Novosti quoted Ms Lyudmila Guseva as saying.
She added that five of every nine marriages registered in Moscow end in divorce, leaving over 18,000 children in single-parent families annually.
