Canara Bank launches online trading portal
New Delhi, Feb 18 (UNI) Public sector lender Canara Bank today said it has launched the online equity trading platform, www.canmoney.in, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Gilt Securities Trading Corporation Ltd (GSTCL).
''The online trading facility, to start with, will be available to all individual savings and current account holders in select CBS-compliant Canara Bank branches in Gujarat region,'' a statement said.
Existing customers having SB/CA in a CBS branch or demat account in Ahmedabad and Gujarat region can open a trading account with GSTCL, while fresh investors can avail of the new online trading platform by opening an integrated three-in-one account --a SB/CA at CBS Branch of Canara Bank, a demat account with Canara Bank and Trading account with GSTCL.
The trading account would be offered free with concessional brokerage for a limited period, it added.
''GSTCL is offering three market savvy products-Cash N Carry (delivery based product), Intra-day Trading (jobbing) and BITSOT (Buy In Today Sell Out Tomorrow), while the trading in F&O segment would be introduced shortly,'' it said.
