Two-day meet on maintenance for Tata group of industries

Jamshedpur,Feb 16 (UNI) Steel major Tata Steel and Tata Quality Management Services (TQMS),Pune, will jointly organize a two-day Maintenance Community Meet for the Tata group of companies from February 18 here.

Tata Steel Vice-president (Shared Services) Om Narayan told media persons here today that the meet would be first of its kind and being coordinated with the objective to create a forum for sharing the best practices in the field of maintenance among all the Tata group of companies.

Mr Narayan said the two-day meet '' Innovation in Maintenance Area'' would see the participation of several Tata group of companies including Tata Motors,Tata Power,Tata Metaliks and overseas units Tata Steel,Thailand and Natsteel Asia Private Limited, Singapore.

Apart from delegates of Tata group of companies, subject expert from IIT-Kharagpur, 'Technology suppliers and Maintenance Professionals have been invited to deliver lectures on recent developments and innovations in the field of maintenance,' he said.

Mr Narayan said about 15 technical papers encompassing various facets of techniques would be presented in the meet.
