Kerala Travel Mart in Kochi from Sept 20
Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 15 (UNI) Buyers from more than 50 countries are expected to participate in the fifth Kerala Travel Mart, India's largest buyer-seller mart to be organised in Kochi from September 20 to 23.
The KTM, a biennial event showcasing the best of Kerala, would be organised by the Kerala Travel Mart Society with the support of the State Tourism department.
Tourism Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said here that the travel mart was a perfect example of the synergy between the public and private sector, joining hands for the promotion of tourism in the State.
Organisers of the event told newspersons that 170 Indian and 65 international buyers had registered to attend the mart. Large contingents from Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa and the US were expected.
An impressive array of sellers in the field of eco-tourism, heritage tour, house boat, ayurveda, beach resorts, homestays, backwater resorts, jungle resorts, plantation tour and airlines would be participating in the event.
