North Eastern Institute of Folk Medicine at Arunachal

New Delhi, Feb 14 (UNI) A Rs 32.88 crore North Eastern Institute of Folk Medicine will be set up at Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh, it was announced today.

''It will be an autonomous institute under the Department of AYUSH,'' Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi told reporters after the Cabinet meeting that took the decision.

This will facilitate systematic and comprehensive documentation, presentation and validation of the folk medicine traditions of the North-Eastern region, he said.
