32 activists of banned SIMI participated in the Meeting:Asif
Dharwad, Feb 14 (UNI) Suspected terrorist Asif Mohammad's accomplice Shakeel Mali, who was arrested on Tuesday last has revealed that 32 activists of banned SIMI organization had participated in its meeting at Castlerock on Goa-Karnataka border in the Western Ghats recently.
COD sources said the activists from Dharwad had hired a vehicle and had gone to participate in the meeting. Dr Mirza and Adnan had arranged funds for the vehicle. A search for the activists participated in the meeting has begun.
Shakeel has also revealed that he took the people to SIMI meeting that was held thrice every month.
Another COD team interrogating Abdullah has gone to Belgaum and Bijapur for further investigation. It's also questioning Belgaum hotelier Feroz Sanadi, son of former Deputy Mayor of Belgaum city municipal corporation.
Meanwhile, a delegation of minority community led by former minister and legislator Jabbarkhan Honnalli and Ismail Kalebudde met deputy commissioner here today and submitted a memorandum demanding extension of ban on Rashtreeya Hindu Sena Chief Pramod Mutalik accusing him of provoking communal feelings.
