J and K sanction ex-gratia relief to militancy victims in Kupwara
Srinagar, Feb 13 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir government has sanctioned ex-gratia relief in favour of 35 militancy victims in the frontier district of Kupwara, once a hub of militants.
An oficial spokesman said today District Level Screening Committee which met at Kupwara today sanctioned an ex-gratia relief of Rs 17.30 lakh in favour of 35 militancy related cases.
Of this, he said, Rs 6 lakh were sanctioned in favour of next of kin of six persons killed in militany related incidents.
Rs 4. 55 lakh for 7 injured and Rs 6.75 lakh for 22 property damaged cases.
