NCP to hold 'Paribartan rally' to expose Naveen govt's misdeeds

Bhubaneswar, Feb 12 (UNI) The Nationalist Congress Party(NCP) will organise ''Paribartan rally'' here on February 19 to expose the misdeeds of BJD-BJP government led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

Briefing newspersons NCP state coordinator Bijaya Mohapatra said the people of Orissa were fed up with the 'style and functioning' of the Naveen Patnaik government during the last eight years.

'' Now they want a change in the government as well as the ongoing development which had benefitted only a few industrial houses at the cost of poor farmers,'' Mr Mohapatra remarked.

The NCP leader alleged that the government machineries in the state had been almost paralysed and lying defunct for the last four months and a panicked Chief Minister afraid of the general elections had been announcing different schemes to divert the people's attention on the government's failure on all fronts.

Mr Mohapatra said the NCP rally to be addressed by its president Sharad Pawar and other senior leaders would be the beginning of the fall of the Naveen Patnaik government.

He claimed lawlessness had reached its climax with reports of bank dacoity, looting, rape and murder coming in everyday. One after another farmer was committing suicide for non repayment of loan, he alleged.

But the Chief Minister, the NCP leader, alleged was only busy in signing MoUs with the industrial houses but there has been no sign of any visible development in the state during the BJD-BJP regime.
