Committee formed to look into woes of sugarcane growers

Bangalore, Feb 11 (UNI) Karnataka Governor Rameshwar Thakur today announced formation of a high-level committee to look into the woes of sugarcane growers in the state.

A Raj Bhavan communique here said the Committee would comprise sugarcane growers, advisors to the Governor, Chief Secretary and Finance Secretary.

The Committee would look into the problems of sugarcane growers and suggest suitable remedial measures.

Mr Thakur directed the Committee to meet during the course of the week and arrive at a suitable solution to alleviate the sufferings of sugarcane growers.
