Arunachal integral part of India: Yechury

Hyderabad, Feb 9 (UNI) Coming to the defence of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who has 'annoyed' Beijing with his remark on Arunachal Pradesh, Communist Party of India (Marxist) Politburo member Sitaram Yechury today said the region is part and parcel of India.

''Of course there is a border dispute. Both countries should sort it out,'' he told reporters here.

China had conveyed to India that it was not proper to make comments on the status of the region, when the two countries were holding talks over the boundary issues.
