New Delhi, Feb 4 (UNI) Delhiites today got some relief from the chill sweeping the city since last week with the mercury rising to 6.2 degrees Celsius.

A cloud cover over the sky led to a rise in the minimum temperature, from 5 degrees yesterday to 6.2 degrees today.

The maximum temperature also rose from 20.2 Degree yesterday, to 22.5 Degree, one degree above normal.

A slight mist was witnessed in the morning, even though visibility levels remained normal at 1000m.

Meanwhile, weathermen said the cold wave sweeping Delhi over the last week had abated with the dissipation of the cold Northwesterly winds.

The chill could abate further in the next few days with the weatherman forecasting a minimum temperature to remain at 6 degrees tomorrow.

The Met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with possibility of light rain or thundershowers tomorrow evening or night.

They have also forecast a mist or shallow fog in the morning.
