DYFI holds demo seeking closure of TASMAC liquor shop

Chennai, Feb 4 (UNI) About 400 activists of the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) today staged a road roko demanding closure of a government-run TASMAC liquor shop at Pulianthope in North Chennai.

Police said the agitation was led by CPI(M) Legislator Mahendran.

The agitators hit the streets and blocked vehicles demanding closure of shop which was located in the vicinity of a place of worship and a school.

Traffic in the area was affected for nearly an hour following the agitation.
