Bachchan flies to Mumbai following attack reports at his home

Shimla, Feb 4 (UNI) Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan left for Mumbai following reports of attack on his house by some unidentified miscreants early today, police said.

The superstar travelled to Chandigarh from here by road from boarded a plane to Mumbai after reports said two people on a motorcycle threw glass bottles at his residence.

Mr Bachchan, who was shooting here for Sujit Sircar's latest film ''Shoe Bite'' for over a week and was scheduled to stay on for another, left for Mumbai in a huff following the incident.

Raj Thackeray's Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) criticised Mr Bachchan in a public meeting recently for setting up a school in Aishwarya Rai's name in Uttar Pradesh instead of Mumbai.
