Congress asks UP govt to table central funds' details

Siddharthnagar, Feb 3 (UNI) Congress ''Hisaab Kitaab Maango Samiti'' organiser and former president Jagdambika Pal has asked the Mayawati-led Uttar Pradesh government to table the central funds records.

The central government had sanctioned Rs 1,82,000 crore for developmental projects of which Rs 90,000 crore had been spent, Mr Pal today told UNI.

Meanwhile, the state government has demanded an extra help of Rs 80,000 crore.

Charging the UP government for misappropiation of funds, Mr Pal said '' to curb the corrupt practices of the Mayawati government, the congress party has asked them to present funds utilisation details under its newly formed ''Hisaab Kitaab Maango Samiti.'' Efforts are on to place one Coordinator at every block with a view to abort such malpractices, he further said.
