Suspect arrested for theft of Prize certificate of Tagore
Dhaka, Feb 2 (UNI) A Bangladeshi national was arrested early today on suspicion of having links with the suspected thief of Nobel Prize certificate of poet Rabindranath Tagore.
The Bangladeshi national, Shiplu is a suspected to be an accomplice of Indian national Jiban Sing, who has allegedly stolen the Nobel Prize certificate and other precious valuables from Rabindra Museum, at Shantiniketan in West Bengal on March 25, 2004.
Indian police has been searching for Jiban Sing .
A Criminal Investigation Department (CID) team raided the house of Shiplu at Lalbagh in Dhaka city and arrested him. Additional SP (CID) Abdullah Arif said Shiplu would be produced before CMM court tomorrow and will be brought on remand for interrogation.
