Krishna supporters stage 'Rasta Roko' in his home district
Bangalore, Jan 30 (UNI) Supporters of Maharashtra Governor S M Krishna today staged "Rasta Roko" at Maddur, his home town, in Mandya district in protesting against certain personal references made to their leader in the autobiography of former Karnataka Minister and Senior Congress leader H Vishwanath.
Vehicular traffic on the busy Bangalore-Mysore road came to a standstill for a couple of hours and thousands of vehicles were stranded on the either sides of the four-lane state highway.
The agitators, protesting against their leader's alleged 'affair' with a Kannada actress of yesteryears, raised slogans against Mr Vishwanath, and squatted on the road until Police persuaded them to disperse.
