JSL bags $200 million order from Cairn
New Delhi, Jan 30 (UNI) Jindal SAW Limited (JSL) today said it has bagged an order worth 200 million dollars from Cairn Energy india Pty Limited for supply of pipes.
According to a JSL release issued here today the total order book position of the company exceeds one billion dollar which or about Rs 4,000 crores. These orders are scheduled to be executed by January 2009.
The pipeline will be of a total distance of more than 600 Kilo Meters (Km), with approximate weight of one lakh tonne.
The company will start executing this orders from May, this year to December, 2008.
The project involves supply of pipes for worlds' longest underground pre-insulated heat traced pipeline to transport waxy and heavy crude.
The pipeline wil be jointly owned by Cairm in partnership with Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC). The pipelne will be used to transport heavy crude oil from their oil fields in Mangala in North West India to a terminal in Salaya a distance of around 600 Kms.
