Sujana Metal to invest Rs 1,400 crore for acquisition
Hyderabad, Jan 28 (UNI) Sujana Metal Products Limited, part of the Hyderabad-based Sujana Group of Companies, has finalised plans for acquisition of four other companies with an investment of around Rs 1,400 crore in the next three years.
According to a release here today, the Company had just completed the acquisition of a new TMT rolling mill in Hyderabad with an installed capacity of about 100,000 TPA.
''We have finalised plans to acquire four more rolling mills in Hyderabad, Chennai and Visakhapatnam with an installed capacity of about 200,000 TPA for the manufacture of structural steel and about 120,000 TPA of TMT bars,'' said Mr Y S Chowdary, Chairman, Sujana Group.
''These acquisitions will increase the installed capacity for rolled products from 290,000 TPA to over 700,000 TPA, will help the company to attain the leadership position in the secondary steel market in south India,'' he said.
The Sujana Group is the largest diversified groups in south India with presence in power transmission, telecom towers, construction and structural steel, urban infrastructure development, precision engineering components, domestic appliances and international trade.
