14 feared dead, 22 injured in Guna bus-truck head-on collision
Guna (Madhya Pradesh), Jan 28 : At least 14 people were killed and 22 other were injured on Monday in a bus-truck collision that took place on Agra-Mumbai National Highway, around 10 kilometres from Guna.
The bus collided head-on with the truck while on its way to Kumbhraj, uperintendent of Police Yogesh Choudhary said.
Choudhary further said that all the injured have been admitted to hospital and seven succumbed during treatment, adding that the condition of five injured was critical.
Heavy machines were used to open the entangled remains of the two vehicles, he added.
According to official sources, a few injured were rushed to Gwalior for further treatment.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has reportedly announced financial assistance of Rs 50,000 each for the kins of the deceased and has asked the authorities to provide proper treatment to the injured.
