Percussion Artiste Appukkutty Poduwal passes away
Palakkad, Kerala, Jan 27 (UNI) Noted ''mridangam'' maestro Kalamandalam Appukkutty Poduwal today died at his residence at Thiruvillamala in the district following a prolonged illness.
He was 84.
Poduwal is survived by his wife and four daughters.
The percussion exponent, who was active in the field for the last five decades, had won several awards.
