Cabinet move to prevent industrial accidents in India
New Delhi, Jan 24 (UNI) To increase safety standards and prevent major industrial accidents in India the Cabinet today approved for placing before Parliament the government's decision for ratification of the ILO Convention 174.
The move would help formulate and implement national policies and programmes for prevention of major industrial accidents.
''The decision for ratification of ILO Convention number 174 wil enhance the safety standrads for prevention of major industrial accidents in India,'' Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dashmunsi said after the Cabinet meeting here.
