Five persons killed and four injured in a jeep accident in Haryana

Kaithal, Jan 23 (UNI) Five persons were killed and four others seriously injured when a jeep in which they were travelling rammed into a Haryana roadways bus near Khanoda village of this district tonight.

Three of the deceased have been identified as Puran Chand of Barna village, Madan Jadola and Ram Chander of Sarsa. All the four injured were identified as Charan Singh, Faqeer Chand, Joginder and Ram Chander have been rushed to the PGI at Chandigarh in serius condition.

The bodies of the deceased were brought to the general hospital here for autospsy. Deputy Commissioner S K Goel and SP Anil Kumar rushed to the site of the accident to take stock of the situation.

The DC announced an ex-gratia of Rs 25,000 for each of the injured persons.
