Blueline claims 2nd victim of the day, 7th of the year
New Delhi, Jan 23 (UNI) A 45-year-old businessman became this year's seventh victim of the dreaded Blueline buses in the capital, after being crushed by it in Shahdara area of Northeast Delhi.
Krishan Lal Verman, who ran a printing press was crushed under the wheels of the bus, plying on route no 319 (Shahdara to Noida), while getting down at about 1430 hrs, said sources.
He was rushed to the GTB Hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
The driver of the bus Babban Singh has been arested, said the police and the bus impounded.
Earlier in the day, a 35-year-old woman died in Hari Nagar after being hit by a Blueline plying on route no 108 (Hari Nagar to Nehru Vihar).
