Fire breaks out at KBPS godown in Kerala

Kochi, Jan 22 (UNI) Fire broke out at the Kerala Book and Publication Society's (KBPS) godown at Kakannad, near here today, official sources said.

According to the District Fire Officer, ten fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the flames, which broke out at the waste dumping area of the godown at around 0600 hrs.

He said the fire was extinguished after three hours of fire fighting and there was no report of any casualty.

The cause of the fire was not known immediately, he added.
