Digamber Kamat govt is stable: Rane
Panaji, Jan 22 (UNI) Health Minister Vishwajith Rane today welcomed the decision of the regional Save Goa Front (SGF), led by Churchill Alemao, of merging into the Congress.
Speaking to media persons here today, Mr Rane said, ''Government led by Digamber Kamat in Goa is stable.'' When asked about his resignation last week, Mr Rane said, ''I had resigned on my personal petty issue, which hurt me, and not to topple the Kamat government.'' ''The Chief Minister had not accepted my resignation and as my issues were resolved in Delhi, I had also withdrawn my resignation letter. I was always with the Chief Minister and will continue to be with him in the future,'' he said.
Mr Rane said, ''We have a bigger alliance now, including the NCP, MGP and two indepedents. In the interest of the state and development in the next four and a half year period we should remain behind the Chief Minister to help the government function smoothly.'' ''I am happy with my portfolios,'' he added.
