Branch manager arrested while taking bribe

Hajipur, Jan 22 (UNI) The branch manager, of the North Bihar Regional Rural Bank's Chandsarai branch, was today arrested for taking a bribe at his residence at Chandsarai under Jandaha police station in Vaishali district.

Police said Bhagwan Singh had demanded a bribe of Rs 2,000 to issue Kissan credit card to one Rajiv Kumar Singh of Chandsarai village and the vigilance sleuths had caught him red-handed while taking the bribe.

After preliminary interrogation, the branch manager would be produced before the court, police added.
